Well, I finally did it. On our recent visit back home, I had this problem with the left click button on the trackpad of my barely scrapheap worthy Dell Inspiron. I had to push it with max force to get it to respond. When it did, I couldn't tell that I pressed it: no click, no movement that I could detect (don’t say proprioception, don’t say proprioception, don’t say proprioception) through proprioception (damn it!). I could only tell by what happened on the screen. On that machine, the variability of in time between clicking and screen response made it pretty much unusable. So I have finally kept my promise of not buying another Windows machine and I am free of the bonds of Microsoft... only to dive into the arms of the maniacal Steve Jobs. Ah freedom!

The Day After Christmas 2010
There was a snowstorm. The first picture is me driving to my parents from my in-laws. We had decided was would spend the storm with our respective parents. I got to do a bit of shoveling. I should have taken a picture of the 50-foot pine in the backyard whipping back and forth. Anyway, the next day my niece & nephew with a little help from my father-in-law made snowmen. I had planned on posting this while I was still there but with no Internet at the homestead, I ended up waiting until my return.
