Last week I saw my first opera, La traviata, well, nearly. It was a cinema simulcast. I have always wanted to see an opera, out of curiosity. In the 1990s, saw a poster advertising La Traviata, and it captivated my attention. It was dominated by a particular shade of blue that beckoned to my eyes like a siren song.
