Work sent me to
Belfast, so I convinced my wife to come over and turn it into a mini break. I got to try
potato bread and
soda farl, which were delicious. Then we hired a car and drove to
Giant's Causeway. According to
Samuel Johnson:
Worth seeing? Yes, but not worth going to see. We took the coastal route back and the countryside was so beautiful that it made our eyes tired. It reminds me of
Yorkshire.
Carrickfergus was closed when we got to it. We stayed in the
Queens Quarter and there were loads of really friendly people.
